Introduction

Unfortunately, too many people are given leadership responsibility without adequate training or support. In a sense, it’s like giving a person the keys to your car before they have learnt to drive. Should your organisation employ staff that have been promoted to leadership or supervisory positions and have not received adequate training in the past; this workshop is for them! It will provide your key personnel with the knowledge base necessary to grow and succeed as a leader; Strategies for staff skill, attitude and motivational development, plus the training required to successfully plan, prepare, organise and complete work assignments efficiently. No longer will they drive blind, but move forward in confidence achieving objectives effectively and efficiently with the working cooperation of all. Can this be achieved? Who should attend?

An outstanding one-day workshop specifically designed for Management, Office Managers and Supervisors, Team Leaders, Leading Hands, Foreman etc. Training will support any staff member currently performing a leadership role within their organisation, or any employee being considered for leadership responsibility. The training is uncomplicated, motivating, easy to understand and apply. It doesn’t matter if you are a manager of a large organisation, an office supervisor, or leading-hand responsible for a small team - each will go away with a clear understanding on how to apply the training to enhance their own development, and specific workplace responsibilities. Training is applicable across all industries.

The 1 Day Leadership, Efficiency, Productivity Workshop, together with our ongoing training support is comprehensive and effective, yet every aspect of the training is easy to understand, and apply.

Those attending will be given instruction, and provided with the necessary tools that will enable them to lead with confidence, motivate staff to work in a cooperative and supportive manner and achieve excellence in workplace relations. They will be provided with the tools to analyze and support staff correctly, set actions and priorities; plan, organize, schedule, delegate and follow work through to successful completion.

Leadership / Staff Control

   

Methods to effectively lead, control, manage and support staff. Skill and job knowledge alone does not make a leader - style and behaviour do! This section will set the standard necessary to gain employee respect, trust, and have staff respond in a positive and supportive way!

 

Communication

   

Develop correct and effective communication between management, leadership and employees. Training in this section will eliminate misunderstanding and mistakes. The communication module includes: Effective Communication, Listening, Common Blocks, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Aggressive Behaviour, Assertive Behaviour, Passive / Aggressive Behaviour - Communication Behaviours - Ensuring directives are clearly understood, and work requirements carried out effectively!

 

Staff Assessment / Evaluation

   

This section provides training that will enable your leadership to identify the strength and weakness’ in both staff and productivity. Assessment identifies job knowledge, teamwork, reliability, efficiency, quality and commitment. Assessment identifies where difficulties may exist and allows the leader to make the necessary adjustments to increase employee performance and efficiency across all platforms. Outstanding results may be expected as this aspect of the training is applied within the workplace.

 

Time Management

   

Plan and manage time to ensure that all the important, high priority work is completed each day! Simple time management strategies that will ensure correct planning, scheduling and prioritization of all events. How to create more time through effective delegation and by maintaining correct control over delegated workflow through to completion. Almost every person going through this module find an additional hour or more per day, and once this knowledge is fanned out across all other employees ... the reward for effort is exciting!

  Manuals on CD

Training manuals, assignments, analysis forms and a variety of support materials are provided on the accompanying CD. This material completes the broadness of information required by leadership to gain high end result. Permission is granted to print additional training manuals, individual modules and assessment forms from the CD for the purpose of staff training and development. The material is also designed to be used as a support reference to help other key personnel within the company who have not previously had the opportunity to attend training.

Training Certificate is presented on completion of training   

Seminar Participation This training is restricted to a maximum of 12 persons attending and presented in a relaxed environment. All attending are encouraged to participate, although contribution to group discussion is solely at the discretion of the attendee. No person attending is put in any situation which may lead them to feel embarrassed by being asked to participate, or answer questions when they would rather not. Role playing games are not used in this training.

 
 
  Ongoing Training Assignments - Leadership/People Management  (BACK TO TOP) 

In reality, growth in leadership is a process of self development. As an individual is promoted to a leadership position they generally have an excellent grasp on job responsibility, skill and knowledge to effectively carry out work assignments within their own region of responsibility. Whether or not they will be successful as a leader is another thing. This will be determined by the way they deal with, build relations, communicate, organise, support and guide all employees they are responsible for. The self development training modules are designed to create a confident, well balanced leadership style. 12 training modules, together with self evaluation forms are provided. One module should be completed weekly. Modules cover: Character Building; Communication & Self Awareness; Motivation; Stress; Goal Setting; Problem Solving; Decision Making; Getting Agreement; People Relations; Dealing with Conflict; Self Control; Negotiation.
A further certificate is awarded on completion of these 12 modules.

 
  Reporting Option - Attendees Manager / Supervisor  (BACK TO TOP)

Provision is made along with this training that will enable the attendees manager to discuss content, objectives, areas of concern identified through training, and the initiation of corrective measures with the attendee. It will also enable the manager to evaluate the leaders learning and growth. The Reporting Option will allow the manager to continually monitor the leaders correction of identified difficulties in staff attitude and motivation, relational problems, skill, application, time management and efficiency strategies etc. This provision brings the leader and their manager together to discuss remedial actions, result expectation, and provides for accountability. A section is provided on the registration form where the manager/supervisor may request this reporting option. Information will be sent to the manager explaining how to interact with the attendee, how to monitor progress and achieve the best possible training result. Manager assistance with this option is also supported under the 12 month training support. In addition, we also make direct contact with the manager once the attendees training has been provided, and as these materials are being sent out.

 
  12 Months Training Support  (BACK TO TOP)

“Training Support” is offered for a period of 12 months. As training is applied within the workplace those attending may call for further assistance. Whether it be for clarification on certain aspects of the training, help with employee analysis, streamlining time management structures, leadership concerns, a problem employee or simply to get a second opinion, assistance is only a phone call or e-mail away! Training support also applies to the attendees manager should the reporting option be exercised. We encourage both manager and attendee to access the ongoing training support as it will impact the overall success of the training, and is “Free of Charge” for the 12 month period.

 
  What this workshop will do for your managers, leaders and key personnel:  (BACK TO TOP)
  1. Provide your key personnel with the knowledge necessary to measure their personal performance against accepted leadership and staff control criteria. To make appropriate personal change where necessary so as to lead their people in such a way as to gain support, participation and loyalty.

  2. The ability to assess each employee to ensure they carry out correctly what they are employed to do. How they interact and support fellow employees, and make necessary changes to ensure job knowledge and interaction supports the overall objectives and success of their entire team. Information on evaluation and appropriate assessment forms will be provided at the workshop.

  3. Provide time management strategies that will enable your key personnel to plan projects appropriately, delegate specific responsibility, monitor progress through to the completion of projects. They will be informed on how to plan, delegate and control workflow to ensure events are completed on time, every time, achieving exceptionally high standards.

  4. They will achieve their objectives because they will communicate correctly. They will have learnt to explain clearly what needs to be carried out. They will not simply take for granted understanding, but have sought feedback to confirm their communication had been properly received. They will expect completion of all tasks efficiently and consistently without the many mishaps and mistakes they may have previously encountered.

Registration is $395.00 plus GST per registration ($444.38 GST Inclusive)

Registration fee includes:
  • The 1 Day Leadership, Efficiency Training - Commencing at 9am Finishing at 5pm.
  • Comprehensive training manual and resource materials that will be used on the day.
  • CD containing all training manuals, ongoing training assignments and materials for the purpose of staff development training, evaluation and support.
  • Training Certificate on completion of the days training. (Also, a further certificate is issued on completion
    of the 12 ongoing training assignments)
  • 12 months ongoing training support. (Applies to managers when the Reporting Option is exercised)
  • Morning tea - Lunch - Afternoon tea provided.

Registrations are limited to 12 persons per workshop. This is to ensure that those attending are not treated simply as a number, and value appropriate to the quality and importance of the training is extended to each person attending.
